AI for Artists
Artificial intelligence seems to be everywhere these days, and many people have mixed feelings about it, myself among them.
Personally, I'm not interested in using AI to create artwork for me. The joy of painting comes from making the creative decisions myself. What I am interested in is using AI to connect with other artists and discover ideas that make running an art business a little easier.
One tool I've found recently is Art Helper. Rather than generating artwork, it focuses on helping artists with the countless tasks that happen after a painting leaves the easel. I've found it especially useful for writing artwork descriptions, brainstorming titles, creating social media posts, and generating room mockups. It gives me a starting point, saves me time, and lets me spend more of my day doing what I'd rather be doing—painting. But I don’t simply “copy and paste”. I treat it as I would any assistant and make sure to read and edit everything it generates carefully.
