ARTIST PROFILE
Sue Dion is a New England painter inspired by flowers, gathered objects, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Growing up in her family's wholesale florist business fostered an early appreciation for color, arrangement, and the fleeting nature of beauty that continues to influence her work today.
Working in acrylic, oil, and watercolor, she creates expressive paintings that balance observation with intuition. Flowers, vessels, fruit, and everyday objects often serve as starting points for paintings that focus less on careful description and more on energy, rhythm, color, and response. Through layered marks, shifting edges, and bold linear elements, Sue creates work that invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and discover their own connections to familiar subjects.
Her work has been exhibited throughout New England and is held in private, corporate, and international collections.
