Once in a Blue Moon

This painting is based on the work of a Florida artist whose paintings I admire. I purchased one from her several years ago at an art festival we both displayed at in South Portland, ME. Her name isn’t coming to me at the moment but I want to credit her for most of the composition.

I love the way the flowers, blue vessels, and decorative ironwork come together in this painting. The curling lines and strong blues give the piece a sense of movement while the flowers keep it grounded in the familiar world of still life.
