SHIMMER is a feast for the eyes, with its layers of Springtime color and diverse form. I worked these in a very loose manner so that light appears to come from some flickering source. It shines through here and there, on and off. This wavering action plays with the eyes, fluttering and roaming the canvas like the brisk "comings and goings" of a butterfly in the garden. They landed first on a patch of soft pink petals that seemed to tremble, then jumped over to dark leaf-like greens fidgeting for attention. The subtle color and form give this painting a certain magical quality.
Painted in acrylic on a 24 X 24 inch deep, studio wrapped canvas.
